Today, very few companies do not use any form of technology to perform their daily operations in the various fields where they do business. In fact, the use of software has massively increased in all areas and, in many cases its application at different levels of the company is undeniable and unavoidable.
In this regard, it is good to know that software is a technology component, which is part of the current evolutionary maelstrom where changes occur constantly. Therefore, it is possible that this may be a disadvantage for many companies that are forced to make investments in technology change much earlier than expected, and due to the impact and risk involved.
Another important aspect is the availability of information. In a completely globalized world where business can be done anywhere in the world, access to information at any time and from any part of the world facilitates the development of many activities without requiring physical presence of collaborators, certainly, according to their responsibilities.
Well, for all this there is –or has been for a long time– a model called Cloud Computing, which allows remote access to software or programs, file storage, and data processing via the Internet. The cloud computing model does not require installing applications on the company’s computers, but using the respective credentials, users and passwords via the Internet to access them.
The cloud computing types are public cloud, private cloud, community cloud, and hybrid cloud. Likewise, the most common and widely adopted cloud computing services are IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service). They will be explained in detail in the following posts.
