Main Objectives of ISO 38500 in the Organization

ISO 38500 is the international standard for good practices in Corporate Governance of Information Technology (IT).

The standard is aimed at guaranteeing the elaboration and implementation of the company’s governance policies, diagnosing the organizational and structural changes required in the company, preparing the company to be able to react quickly and efficiently to changes in the environment and quantitative and qualitative demands, complying with the laws and regulations of the activity engaged in, managing risks efficiently and thus ensure the business continuity and sustainability.

It is very important to realize that IT governance involves managing the most important resources of an organization. Its purpose is to promote the effective, efficient, and acceptable use of IT, ensuring those organizations that adherence to these principles will help their managers consider the risks and promote opportunities arising from the IT use.

Thus, stakeholders following the standard can rely on Corporate Governance of IT inside the organization.
