In DevOps, frequent deliveries of applications ready for production are carried out. Indeed, in many cases, it is not necessary to make a greater effort to provide support or optimization, and even they may not require a greater effort for their evolution. However, this is possible if there is an appropriate control and monitoring plan.

To this end, it is advisable to set monitoring’s metrics or telemetry to control the state and infrastructure of applications. This will become possible by creating processes that facilitate and strengthen early feedback with clear information to everyone, i.e., implementing a working system where knowledge flows in every direction and constantly, in order to incorporate improvements and/or corrections required in a next iteration.

Certainly, it is important to measure, monitor, and analyze everything that provides information for decision making. In this regard, this must be complemented with the organization’s drive for growth according to the optimization of work processes, which may even achieve improvements in the work environment by developing collaboration and empathy practices among work teams.

In addition, technically, a cohesive working system will allow generating and sharing information, and feedback among teams; therefore, this will facilitate increasingly reliable and secure development schemes, testing and deployments. Finally, the benefits will become increasingly visible both technically and organizationally.
