Currently, the market is in a constant process of competitiveness, which drives organizations to invest in technological innovation to keep up to date. Today it is possible to find organizations still resisting to change, especially those who were not born in a technological environment.

People usually resist what they do not understand, so it is important to make an effort to inform about what is expected to achieve by making changes and the benefits resulting thereof.

Also, a key step is to provide the necessary know-how to adapt to a new context, since the fear of change is merely the lack of knowledge and skills to implement new tools or skills required.

Encouraging members of the organization to share their experiences and feelings about change has very beneficial effects, as it may help to identify misperceptions of the process and even overcome prejudices.

Allowing members of the organization to be part of the design and process of change stimulates commitment where previously there was only resistance and sabotage.

Having a leader who works closely with the organization’s members reduces resistance and values his/her leadership.

Applying these strategies can overcome opposition to change, the challenge is to turn resisters into allies and drivers of change.
